That and my grandfather's Dubya-Dubya Two stories. My erstwhile dad, when he decided to come around, was a beatnik, not a hippie.

Like Kristina, I've also been spared the exposure.David M.noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6286851907865480562.post-60465984384025015532009-09-08T10:32:55.685-07:002009-09-08T10:32:55.685-07:00It's been background noise forever, for me. My parents weren't anything like hippies, never went to Woodstock or anything Woodstock-like (or if they did, they sure didn't tell me about it) and never even cared for the Beatles, so far as I know.

So, I've been spared the direct exposure, at least.Kristinahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03005060328496062807noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6286851907865480562.post-51820984826138160212009-09-03T18:41:04.987-07:002009-09-03T18:41:04.987-07:00mehmehJ-https://www.blogger.com/profile/15237765056847067983noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6286851907865480562.post-23627252217332103072009-09-03T10:27:28.008-07:002009-09-03T10:27:28.008-07:00I'd love it if it just went in one ear and out...I'd love it if it just went in one ear and out the other--but instead, my reaction is, "Really? There are more important markers for the Boomer generation both past and present than for them and the media to continue to roll around in the mud together.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6286851907865480562.post-67787233583640803762009-09-03T08:56:01.718-07:002009-09-03T08:56:01.718-07:00I can't decide which reaction to Woodstock-tal...I can't decide which reaction to Woodstock-talk I like more:

1.
