Any kid who tells on another kid is a dead kid

In my last post I mentioned the movie Over The Edge. I'm not sure why, but I think it's one of the funniest things I've ever seen. Can you even imagine what the Boomers who made this film were thinking about Gen X at the time?

Take a look at the trailer and tell me you know what to make it your next NetFlix selection.

Yeah, but the kids weren't taking out other kids (ala Columbine). The Xer youth were taking out the Boomers.

I think if this movie was about kids who were bullied and then shot up the school it would be sad. But I've seen it and that's not what it's about. It's about every Xer stereotype you've ever heard of wrapped up into one package to scare the crap of Boomers. It's like Xers ARE horror movies to the Boomers.

Did you know there are LAWS against bullying now? Damn straight, kids in school can't bully in NYS. I'll have to check if its federal. More planned for cyberbullying soon...

For real. Maybe that scared the boomers enough to make laws against bullying for their Y babies?

I haven't seen the movie, but I put it on my netflix queue. Would you also say that it might be trying to tell us that we are ungrateful for all the great things boomers have done for us??

I remember seeing this when I was younger. It was an odd movie. I really don't know what to say about it, but it's certainly a strange view of kids. Maybe I'll watch it again.
