Boomers take over the Net

Online Media Daily is reporting that Boomers may use the internet more than younger more tech-savvy people. Apparently they are using it for "fun and interaction." The story is the result of a study released by AARP. That was news to me.

This is propaganda. If Boomers were on the net more, that news would have been Twittered. Yeh.

That article must have been written for the AARP community. Puhlease. let me see now, 34,000 voters, out of how many boomers? um, I do believe the number is still around 72 million, right? and we're not even counting the vetrans....

yeah, boomers are online alright. corresponding with their kids through emails, checking the news sites for new news(?), and trying to perfect their golf games.

You have to admit, its not a bad life, right?

OH! And do you know WHY the boomers want to be online? its not because its cool or easy or smarter... its because its YOUTHFUL. Just ask my mom. *eyeroll*

I'm dubious about this as well. Although it would fit with thier MO of taking things over.

Hmm. I wonder if this has anything to do with the GenXers and Millennials taking over the Democratic Primary and nonimating GenXer Obama by utilizing the net to great effect (or is affect?)

Anyhoo...

Watch how they'll act as if they'd discovered the net, ie blogs and social networking sites etc.
